Migrating from Microsoft Exchange
For a Microsoft Exchange migration, CMT for Notes™ will:
- Migrate all mail messages with subject, recipient, date and body information
- Migrate all attachments
- Administrator can choose server mail, local mail, or both
- Migrate address book (end user only)
- Administrator can choose to migrate the default profile, or let the user choose
- Administrator can add message classes to migrate as mail
- End user sees progress in a dialog box
- Messages can be placed in Lotus Notes system folders or a subfolder in Notes
- Migrate repeating appointments
- Migrate meetings, which can be rescheduled after the migration for attendees that have also been migrated to Notes
- Migrate personal information from Exchange Global Address Lists to Notes NAB
- Filter distribution lists from Exchange
- Migrate Exchange data within date ranges
- Migrate Exchange data with date ranges to multiple database targets
For a Microsoft Exchange Public Folder migration, CMT for Exchange Public Folders™ will:
- Migrate any number of Microsoft Exchange Public Folders off the “All Public Folders” tree into Notes Database(s)
- Translate Microsoft Exchange Mail, Calendar, Task and Contact folders into Corresponding Notes Document types
- Translates Microsoft Exchange Public Folder security settings into Notes Database ACL, folders and Document Reader/Author fields
- Flexibility of the migration target allows for a more logical organization of your critical business data
- Migrate the Public Folders to a modified mail template. This modified template has the ability to store both mail and contact information within the folder structure of the database
- Enterprise level migration technology uses complex field mappings to match MAPI properties to document fields
- Assist in analyzing the security structure on the Exchange Public Folders to help recommend security policy changes
